Max had previously offered to let me use of one of his cages. Friends arranged transportation to bring it over to my dungeon.
I set the cage up on sawhorses. I ran a chain from the ceiling, around the vertical bar nearest the front edge, underneath the main floor bars, and back up around the opposite vertical bar. The weight was held by the main floor bars, but held in place by the vertical members. I removed the sawhorses, leaving the cage exactly 30inches off the ground.
Chains to the floor kept the cage from swinging too far in any direction. But still allowed enough swing to remind the boy in the cage that he's suspended.
Time spent in the cage was important for the mindset. Suspending the cage furthered that mindset.
