After his valued critique I decided to attempt bondage in a position that he had described as being useful. (I was desperate for his attention and approval.)
This was the first time in a while that I had tied a suspension harness for a face-up lift on soundsFun. It was fun to watch him studying the knots being tied. The chest harness is a basic single column connecting to a locking mid-rope tie. This positions ropes just above and below the nipples. (Under load the two groups of ropes seem to get pulled together slightly. For comfort I wonder whether I should increase or decrease separation, or whether it is just a matter of using a better connecting knot on the vertical line.)
The hip harness is a tripled swiss seat connecting to a single column around the hipbones.
The ankles have single column ties. Before I tied his ankles together I attached the chest harness to the Shibari ring. I really didn't want to leave him the ability to fall over.
The ankles are connected to each other using a bridge tie, whose running end becomes their vertical line. This allowed enough space between the ankles for the knees to open comfortably.
Then I lifted the hips. Then I lifted the feet. The result was pretty, but the hips and chest needed to be lowered so that his body was at my waist level.
I forgot about his hands until he was already suspended. I quickly tied limb loops and connected these to the walls. (I wasn't delighted with the quality of the wrist ties.)
At the beginning, in order to get the arms into the right position I needed to position the body a little closer to the mirror than the winch. I attached to the ceiling hard points using two inverted suspension spreader bars.
There is enough room between his legs for a person to comfortably stand without getting stuck. His body swings easily towards his feet or his head.
SoundsFun told me that the position was quite comfortable.
The Dom responded to pictures with the single word, "outstanding".
I was proud.
