kneeling horizontal partial suspension

When I got a little too far into webbing suspensions, SoundsFun and I had a back-to-basics session of rope floor work.  The ties were simple and elegant.  The tie below got the most reactions.

While it was visually striking, this put stress on the back and shoulders, and through the shoulders the arms.  I wanted his head higher.
On the bus, on the way home from work, I realized that all that the position needed was a chest harness.

But further I realized that this would give the bottom a very different view of the floor than normal.  The bottom's face would be a few inches from the floor.  This would be disconcerting for the bottom in very hot ways.

The harness is based on the Box Tie suspension harness from Complete Shibari Volume 2: Sky, with the wraps moved from the outside of the arms to against the torso.  (this harness is adapted from one designed for female breasts.  for a boy, how should the space betweeen the groups be adapted?)

Bringing  the chest off the floor brought the weight off of the shoulders, allowing the hands to be comfortably centered in the back.

The partial suspension had an unexpected benefit.  This allows the bottom to swing back and forth in the plane of his head and feet.
I believe the lack of ropes on the hips will make this position particularly useful.

I was proud of my work on this.
