Research and Development: learning to fly

When it comes time to discuss bondage with the family, it's better to have pictures.

I decided to play a bit with the crucifiction symbolism.  It's something my family would understand and relate to.
Red climbing webbing binds hands and feet.  A reversed swiss seat lifts the hips using block and tackle done with yellow webbing.

The hip harness was done first.  Then the lift.  The feet were tied back to the floor tilting the body slightly forward.  The arms were brought out to the sides.

The webbing I use has a working load of about 3000lbs.  Webbing is soft and spreads weight well. Webbing spreads pressure enough that the compression issues with rope are less likely.

The knots should have been positioned on the inside of his wrists.  But there's little enough tension on them that it wasn't a big problem.

This position is pretty but not too useful.  We may revisit this position over easter.
