prisoner food

After Delta2011 militaryBrig sent me a recipe for prison loaf.  When we planned his visit, this style of food came to mind.

seaDawg99 made a batch of prison loaf.

But stylistically prison loaf requires prison service ware.  So a tray was procured from the local army/navy surplus store.

militaryBrig doesn't like beans.  So ate less of the prison loaf than we had hoped.  We supplemented with some MRE including Menu3, the beef ravioli.

Saturday morning bagels were served on the prison tray, with militaryBrig in handcuffs.

Saturday evening we put militaryBrig into his prisoner transport hood.  And took him across town to the Space Needle restaurant.  His hood was removed after valet parking.

When we walked into the restaurant I handed militaryBrig the tray and told him that he was to make a special request of the waitress to have his food served on the tray.  I told him that he was allowed to use any pretense he wanted, and suggested that he claim it as a fraternity prank.

Food tastes better when slowly twirling.  The food at the rotating restaurant was great.  And the restaurant managed a nice presentation of his chicken dish on the tray.

Essentially all of his meals in Seattle were served on this prison tray.

As militaryBrig was departing for the airport we made a gift of the tray as a souvenir of his visit.
